With over 100 members, the Teens jumped right into action this school year, hosting a shoe drive for athletic shoes for elementary and high school students in need.

Lakeside Lutheran Teens for Christ are gearing up for more afternoons of fun. Those with special needs are warmly invited to LLHS for activities in the west gym, to hang out and develop friendships. Young people with and without special needs will join together for a variety of activities, including games, crafts, snacks and music.

Contact LLHS Teens for Christ advisor Ruth Hirschfeld at rhirschf@llhs.org or call 920-648-2321 x2210. Walk-ups are welcome. ("New Friends" is a program run under the auspices of Jesus Cares Ministries.)

How we serve:

In November, TfC members volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Madison.
Second Harvest

The Teens for Christ bake sale raised $562.47, which was rounded up to $675 with Teens for Christ funds. That was matched by an anonymous donor for a total of $1,350! This means NINE foster families within the federation are each receiving $150 in gift cards from Scrip for Christmas.

Students brought in 5,124 toothbrushes that will be sent to Africa with Wisconsin Lutheran College nursing students next year to help promote oral health.
