Math Team
Each year students are given the opportunity to use their God-given talents by participating in several math meets. Meets are held on campus, virtually, or off campus.
Madison LaFollette - The 2025 Lakeside math teams had great results at the Madison Lafollette Math Meet! 3 JV Warrior math teams participated and took the top 3 spots! (our JV3 took 3rd with 4 mathletes instead of the usual 8, meaning they beat other teams that had 8 students!). Placing individually were Josiah Meinel and Declan Vogel tying for 1st with perfect scores! Our Varsity1 team took 1st place without a top 5 individual finisher, meaning we truly have TEAMS of mathletes.
Capitol Conference Fall Meet – At the 2025 Capitol Conference Fall Math Meet, both Lakeside Lutheran Varsity and JV teams took first place. The competition was against 10 other schools on each level from both the Capitol North and the Capitol South and featured three individual events and one team event.
Capitol Conference Spring Meet – At the February 23, 2026 Capitol Conference Spring Math Meet, held at Cambridge High School, both Lakeside Lutheran Varsity and JV teams took first place, with the Varsity team repeating as conference champions since 2014. The competition was against 10 other schools on each level from both the Capitol North and the Capitol South and featured three individual events and one team event. At the varsity level, senior Chloe Barganz tied for third place. On JV, freshman Joel Nass, freshman Huxton Crave, and sophomore Alex Kutz all tied for fourth place.
