Whether you want to be a programmer, builder, or driver, our Robotics Club has a place for you! LLHS Robotics participates in VEX Robotics Competitions. VEX is a more affordable, yet skillfully challenging robotics medium. Each year the competition changes. You always have an alliance with another team and try to score points and keep your opponent alliance from scoring points. Design, build, drive, plan, lead...VEX is a fun learning experience.

Wisconn Valley VEX Tournament
Shoreland Lutheran High School, 9026 12th Street, Kenosha WI 53144
Our teams competed in the tournament hosted by Shoreland Lutheran High School. All three teams learned a lot about their robots at this tournament and made adjustments throughout. Team 53551C was able to qualify for the bracket as the #3 seed after qualifying 5th overall in the early matches, but they were unable to advance in the tournament play due to a robot malfunction. Team 53551A was asked to be in the #2 seeded alliance after finishing 10th in qualifying. They made it as far as the semifinals, but were not able to get to the championship. They were able to finish 3rd in skills and earn an invitation to the State Tournament that will be held in Green Bay March 1st & 2nd.

Our teams competed at this tournament in Fond du Lac. The tournament had 50 participants, and is one of the largest tournaments in the state. Only Team 53551A advanced to the bracket after going undefeated (7-0) during qualifying matches. They were part of the 3rd ranked alliance but lost in the semifinals to the eventual winners. Two of our teams did well in the skills competition (Team 53551A - 4th & Team 53551C - 8th), but no teams earned a state tournament invitation at this tournament.
