    • A student may submit one group project in addition to individual projects.
  • Originality:
    • Each entry must be an ORIGINAL work of art.
    • Exact copies of photos, cartoons, posters and other published materials are generally not considered original works of art.

  • Judging Card:
    • Judging Cards will be sent to your school before the weekend of the Fair.
    • Each work of art must have a completed judging card firmly attached so it is visible from the front of the work. (it can be stapled, tied, taped, etc…)
    • Please do not attach cards to the bottom of 3-D works; the judges must be able to easily write on the cards.
    • Works that do not have a completed judging card attached will not be judged!

V.   JUDGING

  • Judging:
    • Artwork will be judged Saturday by a panel of qualified judges.
    • All eligible entries will receive a rating of Superior, Good, or Fair and a brief, written critique on the judging card.
    • The purpose of this critique is to provide beneficial evaluation and help the artist grow and improve.
    • Students will also receive a certificate and ribbon for all eligible entries.
    • The judges will select some projects for:
  • Special Awards
    •  “The Judges Choice Award” These are often projects that show exceptional technique or creativity.
