Teacher of the Month

Our March Teacher of the Month is Jenny Krauklis. She has taught Phy Ed and Health at Lakeside for 10 years and also serves as the chair of the Physical Education department. Mrs. Krauklis also is the Varsity Volleyball coach and has led her teams to the State Tournament three times, winning their division in 2017. After coaching JV softball for the past few years, Krauklis will be the new Varsity softball coach starting this spring. Mrs. Krauklis is known as an encouraging force to students on her teams, in her classrooms, and even in the hallways. She also has a great rapport with many alumni and loves to follow their lives and careers when they leave the walls of Lakeside. Warrior blue runs deep as Jenny is a Lakeside alum and her youngest child will be a freshman at Lakeside next year.

• "Since my freshman year, Mrs. K has always been here for me. I struggled with anxiety a lot my freshman year and she helped me get through that. I was also struggling socially and she gave me advice on how to deal with fake friends and how to find new ones. Mrs. K deserves to be nominated. She's said many times to all of the girls PE classes that if you need anyone to talk to, her door is always open and she will listen and help you. Thank you, Mrs. K!"
• "She is always there for you whether that is in your personal life or academic life."
• "Mrs. Krauklis has always been an amazing teacher who has shown patience and kindness in everything she does. No matter if it's helping a student in need or listening to someone if they have had a bad day. She definitely deserves Teacher of the Month for everything she's done for all of us."

One of the many ways that Jenny encourages our students is to help them think about public ministry as a possible vocation. Many students have gone on to become pastors and teachers because of the joy she brings to the classroom each and every day. We are thrilled to have Jenny Krauklis as our March Teacher of the Month!

The Lake Mills Rotary Club is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding educators who make a significant impact in the Lake Mills public and private schools. Our Teacher of the Month program aims to honor exceptional teachers, encourage excellence in education, and foster a strong connection between the community and local schools.

 

With the goal to recognize and reward two teachers each month for their dedication, innovation, and positive influence on students, one teacher will be recognized from the Lake Mills Area School District staff, and one teacher will be recognized from either St. Paul or Lakeside Lutheran staff.

Nomination Window: Nominations are open from the 1st to the 15th of each month. Submissions received after the 15th will be considered for the following month. Lakeside alternates with St. Paul, beginning with LLHS in September.
