2025 Veterans Day Speaker
Dr. William J. “BJ” Fry, Col USAF (retired) received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1996. After graduating, he attended intelligence school and had multiple jobs working with combat aircraft ranging from the B-1 Bomber to the F-117 Stealth Fighter.
He is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School and had the honor of returning there as an instructor. During his career, he trained as a Predator and Reaper Sensor Operator and deployed to Baghdad for a year as an advisor to the Iraqi Intelligence Community.
He is a graduate of the Naval War College, the Air War College, and the American Military University, earning master’s degrees in strategic Intelligence, National Security, and Airpower. Colonel Fry commanded at the Squadron and Group levels and worked for the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs as the intelligence lead for their special projects office.
Since retiring, he earned his Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Liberty University and started Ten Minas Ministries, a retreat for pastors and Christian leaders with the mission to prevent burnout in the church.
Dr. Fry currently resides in Fort Atkinson, Wis., with his wife, April, and daughter Sophia, who is in 10th grade at Lakeside Lutheran High School.
