The Warrior Poms Dance Team is a Varsity Spirit Squad whose emphasis is on Game Day performances and WACPC competitions. Our program is comprised of female athletes committed to growing in their dance technique, promoting school spirit, and entertaining fans at football and basketball games. The Warrior Poms team practices 3 times a week in addition to games and competitions. Our program runs through the fall and winter seasons and lettering is possible for each. Tryouts are held in the spring for the upcoming year and incoming freshman are welcome to try out. Practice begins in the summer. Formal dance background is not required, coaches are looking for potential and ability to be taught.

We strive to enhance the Lakeside Lutheran High School Game Day experience through our pregame, sideline, timeout and halftime performances. Highlights of the fall season include football halftime performances and Homecoming (parade and performances). The winter season will feature Holiday (Christmas and Valentine’s Day) theme routines. A select number of competitions are also part of winter season including regionals and a chance to qualify for the WACPC state competition. As a team we seek to encourage and build each other up through team bonding events, “spirit sisters”, and a positive, joyful team culture. We also aim to connect with and inspire younger dancers through our dance clinics and other events. Please reach out to Coach Michelle Taylor with any questions on our program [email protected].
