Jodie Schommer
I graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and received a BS in Education. I received an MS-Ed degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in Mequon. I hold two licenses to teach in Wisconsin, one in Broad Field Social Studies and another in History.
I teach in the English department where my duties include: Language Arts 9, Journalism, British Literature, Vocational English, and Responses to Literature. I also teach Engineering Essentials in the STEM department.
I advise the student newspaper (Warrior Times Weekly), the yearbook, and the student photography staff. I am the faculty advisor for the fall and winter dance teams.
I serve as head of the preschool committee at my church, Bethany in Fort Atkinson. I am president of the Jefferson County Bicycle Club. I am faculty liaison to the Strategic Panning Committee at Lakeside. I also work with AdvancEd in the international accreditation of schools in Wisconsin.
In my spare moments, I enjoy biking and running.
