Cameron Ausen
I began teaching at Lakeside in the fall of 2015 as the technology coordinator and have since transitioned to the social studies and religion departments where I currently teach AP Psychology, US History, and Old Testament. I also have the privilege of coaching cross country in the fall and assisting the track teams in the spring where I oversee the distance runners.
I was born and raised in Waukesha, WI, where I attended and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran School. I later graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 2002 and then Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2007. I completed my WELS certification through Martin Luther College in 2016.
Prior to accepting the call to Lakeside, I was called to served at St. John's Lutheran School in Milwaukee, where I served for two years as an upper grades teacher.
My wife Katie (nee Braun) and I have been married since 2007 and have an infant son, Miles, born in 2021. Outside of school, I enjoy distance running, golf, gardening, and spending time in the northwoods with my family and two miniature dachshunds.
