Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
The Lord led me to accept the call to Lakeside in the summer of 2015. I serve in the social studies and religion departments where I teach U.S. History, Psychology, and Old Testament. I am also the head coach of the boys' and girls' cross country teams and I coach the distance runners in the spring for track and field.
I was born and raised in Waukesha, attended Trinity Lutheran School from K-8 and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 2002. I earned my Bachelor’s from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2007. I completed my WELS certification through Martin Luther College in 2016.
Prior to accepting the call to Lakeside, I was called to serve at St. John's Lutheran School in Milwaukee, where I served for two years as an upper grades teacher. I also had the privilege of coaching the track and field team. Since my time at St. John, I had the opportunity to serve in the business world as the community outreach director for a local specialty retailer. It is with great joy that I am back in the classroom working with God’s children.
In 2007, I was married to Katie (nee Braun) who is a music teacher at Christian Education Leadership Academy in Pewaukee, WI. Outside of school, I enjoy competitive distance running, golf, and spending time in the northwoods with my family and two miniature dachshunds.
