EDUCATE. ENCOURAGE. EQUIP.

“Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4 NIV)

“Why am I doing this?” Have you ever asked yourself that question? When you put forth a great deal of effort, when you make sacrifices, when you feel fatigued, you sometimes wonder, “Why am I doing this?” Have you ever wondered that about Lakeside? Why am I "doing Christian education"? “Motivated by the love of Jesus, Lakeside Lutheran High School partners with families to educate, encourage, and equip students for life and for eternity” – this is Lakeside’s mission statement. This is why you are here. Teachers, students, and staff gather as a school for an education based on God's Word. As teaching and learning takes place, everyone strives to provide an encouraging atmosphere, using the Gospel of Jesus Christ to comfort and lift up each other. Through this Gospel, the Holy Spirit equips the next generation of Christians with the gifts and skills necessary not only to serve God and others in this life, but also in the life to come. "Why am I doing this?" We are all working together at Lakeside to educate, encourage, and equip students for life and for eternity, all to the glory of God.
