Biography

I Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

This has become my favorite Bible passage through my 28 years of teaching ministry. It has been a pleasure to serve God's people learning about and living their lives to the glory of God. Having taught 3rd graders through high school seniors and even adults has been a privilege for which I don't thank God enough.

I was born in Kewaunee, WI and grew up in Manitowoc, WI and New Ulm, MN. I graduated from Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School and attended (Dr.) Martin Luther College. It was there that the LORD led me to my future wife, Heidi (Shuster) and we have five children.

I was assigned in 1989 to Trinity-St. Luke's Lutheran School in Watertown, WI. While there I coached every girls sport and a few boys sports, became the Director of Technology, and taught in self-contained and departmentalized classrooms specializing in science and technology education. I received my WI State Teaching License and my Masters in Education while there. In 2012 the LORD led my family and I to Shoreland Lutheran High School in Somers, WI. I served as teacher, coach, the Director of Technology, and Director of the SLHS STEM Academy. In 2016 the LORD guided us to LLHS to be the Director of Technology and teach in the Computer Science Department.

In my free time I currently love to ride bike trails, golf every week it's warm, garden, cook, and go for walks with my wife.
