Band for Credit
Lakeside's instrumental music program gives students performance experience in concert and marching band as well as in solo and small ensemble work. Required performances include sacred and secular concerts and marching at football games and parades.
Participation in Wisconsin School Music Association solo and ensemble festival is encouraged.
Students may also take part in jazz ensemble, football, volleyball and basketball pep bands. The grade for band is a weighted combination of attendance, participation, and effort as explained in the course syllabus.
Most school year band students participate in the summer Warrior Marching Band (see menu at right). This program is extra-curricular and does not earn any credit toward graduation.
White House of Music has set up an online student store! Students and families can sign in and use PIN "Pufahl", buy needed supplies, and the shipment comes directly to Lakeside for the student to pick up and use. Try it next time you're in the market!
