Wisconsin Parental Choice Program Info Night

The Board of Regents is proposing to the General Board that Lakeside join the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) starting in 2016-2017. This proposal will come before the General Board for a decision on Tuesday, November 24.

Before that meeting, Lakeside would like to give our current parents and other interested parties an opportunity to understand the rationale used in formulating this proposal. Parents attending the meeting will have an opportunity to view the data that the Voucher Study Committee (VSC) gathered over the past six months which helped to guide the VSC in making this recommendation. Although current Lakeside students will not be eligible for the WPCP, we would like our parents to know the basics of the program and how it has been implemented in four other area Lutheran high schools in Wisconsin.

A special meeting of interested Lakeside parents and others will be held on Monday, November 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. VSC Chairman Kyle Raymond will present the findings of the committee’s study and allow parents the opportunity to ask questions. Similar presentations have been made for the Lakeside faculty, the federation’s Lutheran elementary principals, and members of the General Board, and federation pastors.
