Drama

The Lakeside Lutheran drama department, under the direction of Mr. Marcus Buch since 2010, nurtures and develops the God-given gifts of students both in front and behind the curtain. Dozens of students can be involved in this co-curricular, whether as actors, costumers, set builders, artists, videographers or audio technicians.

The department currently offers a play or musical, alternating each spring. Auditions begin early in second semester and performances run the last weekend in April.

Recent productions have included:
2013: Hound of the Baskervilles (a Sherlock Holmes mystery)
2012: My Fair Lady
2011: Ice House Madrigals
2010: Annie Get your Gun
2009: Flowers for Algernon

TFC-logo Teens for Christ

December: "Christmas Neighbors" family sponsorship
Lakeside students, headed by the Teens for Christ group, is collecting gifts and money for Jefferson Co. family of 12. Check out the Christmas Neighbors tree poster in the cafeteria...each white slip represents $5 or $10 that's needed to provide our adopted family of 12 with supplies, food and support for a wonderful Christmas. Stop down in the cafeteria, grab a slip and tuck your gift into the box in the office. Then watch for a report of what your Jesus-inspired generosity can do for a family in need! Monday, December 10 is the last day for Christmas Neighbors donations. We encourage all of our families to think about participating in this "love in action" project; students can certainly partner up to contribute.

November: "Winter Wishes" outerwear drive
Lakeside students, headed by the Teens for Christ group, took on a project called “Winter Wishes” for St. Marcus in Milwaukee to help out less fortunate families. They collected new and gently used hats, gloves, scarves and coats for both children and adults from now until November 14. KML and Lakeside, along with their federation churches placed boxes at churches and schools, and hundreds of pieces of winterwear were shared. Thanks to TfC member Kayla Pagel (second from left below) for heading it up.
